Aspadol Extended Release (ER) 200 tablet is a pain medication prescribed for moderate to severe pain in adults. In 2008, the FDA approved the centrally-acting opioid painkiller Tapentadol under the brand name Aspadol. Its dual mechanism of action offers relief from a broad range of body pains within 30 minutes.

Aspadol extended-release (ER) tablets are different from immediate-release (IR) formulations based on their ability to disintegrate. The ER medications are formulated to gradually release the active ingredient (tapentadol) into the system. This provides extended pain relief for up to 12 hours, significantly longer than Tapentadol or Aspadol IR tablets, which offer relief for only 4 to 6 hours.

List Of Ingredients

Aspadol ER 200 mg has four main inactive ingredients in addition to its active ingredient, Tapentadol. These are alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E), hypromellose, polyethylene glycol, and polyethylene oxide.

The film coating of the tablet contains polyvinyl alcohol, polyethylene glycol, talc, titanium dioxide, and the colorant FD&C Blue #2 aluminum lake.

Aspadol 200 mg tablets are recommended for severe and persistent pain in adults that require extended treatment. It is approved for treating moderate to severe acute pain associated with lower back pain, osteoarthritis pain, postoperative pain, and fibromyalgia. It is also prescribed for diabetic neuropathy, which requires round-the-clock pain relief.

Dosage Information

For moderate to severe acute pain, 200 mg of Aspadol ER can be taken every 12 hours.

The maximum dose of Aspadol ER tablets is 500 mg daily.

How To Take Aspadol Er 200Mg?

• Swallow the Aspadol 200 mg tablet with water.

• Crushing or chewing the Aspadol 200 tablet can result in the release of the active compound at a higher level than recommended, leading to an overdose.
